Job Title: Principal Technologist, Industrial Platform System Test

Location: Bangalore or Hyderabad India

About the Job

Industrial Platform System Test is looking for a technically strong, and a passionate hands-on person, with strong development, automation, and performance test exposure of microservices and Cloud apps, for our Industrial Cloud platform aka. CONNECT Industrial Intelligence as service; to design business critical industrial digital twin use cases, design and build apps, validate and maintain a completely automated platform having platform services for Aveva apps and partner apps that conforms the standards needed for automated deployment on environments.

In this role you will:

  • Collaborate and work with platform, data and apps development teams, and portfolio to design and perform tests on platform; design and automates integration tests, end to end with critical digital twin business use cases, performance tests and perform regression testing when needed.

  • Enhances platforms automation framework, develop and maintain shared automation libraries, tools and tests are easily extendable by peers and platform integration teams.

  • Enhances performance test frameworks developed in K6, test scenarios, testing methods for throughput, scaling and performance tests, and validation of data quality.

  • Conducts performance testing to ensure that the platform can handle the expected load and perform optimally under stress.

  • Develop, and integrate microservices apps for validating industrial platform features.

  • Recommends technical strategies to contribute to the overall effectiveness and quality of testing in cloud, and to meet business needs.

  • Tracks and communicates task progress, status, and key performance metrics. Provide performance test reports to stake holders in business unit.

  • Communicate effectively across multiple teams, stake holders and customers.

  • Keep abreast of developments in automation and performance testing in cloud, practices, and technology. Independently learn, gain expertise, and implement for new capabilities.

  • Continually develop and improve validation processes, adding value through optimization, automation, and effective use of Azure DevOps

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor/master’s in computer science or a related technical field with 12+ years of relevant industry experience

  • Have worked on SaaS, IaaS, or PaaS multi-tenant software systems deployed on the cloud.

  • Experienced in performance and load testing of microservices using K6.

  • Experienced in test automation using MS Test, XUnit, PactFlow, Spec Flow, Playwright, and Postman.

  • Experienced in developing performance test and automation test frameworks.

  • Strong development experience in one or more languages: Primarily C#, .NET, Typescript/ JavaScript, and Python.

  • Have exposure and explored development on core infrastructure concepts including Microservices, azure functions, apps, kubernetes, and containers.

  • Experienced with development quality practices, to include debugging and refactoring.

  • Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools such as Git, Maven, Gradle, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Azure DevOps

  • Good exposure in building pipelines using YAML.

  • Strong hands-on ability on technologies like Redis, Kafka and NoSQL databases

  • Excellent analytical skills, open, proactive, results oriented, self-organized and self-motivated.

  • Proven experience of leading and coaching others

  • Knowledge of data ware housing concept, knowledge graph, graph QL etc. is a plus.

  • Working knowledge on industry automation best practices, its use cases and real time data

  • Performed integration with OSiSoft PI systems and AVEVA Datahub is a plus

  • ​Experience with DevOps and infrastructure management tools will be a plus.
